Have a colour overlay programme available on library computers

    Pasiwyd

      What do you want?

A colour overlay programme to be avaliable for library computers should be implemented.

      Why do you want it?

This kind of programme could help studnets with dyslexia and it could help eye strain for students who are on computers often. It helps as a white background on a computer could make words harder to read and having this filter could rectify this problem.

3:42pm on 7 Rhag 18 The assistive tech rooms have these already, however it's often been requested all computers have the assistive software. Regardless of this idea passing/voting high enough, anyone in favour should email disability services or IT and request it.

10:48pm on 20 Rhag 18 This would be the programme. https://www.aurelitec.com/colorveil/windows/download/ It would not cost the university anything to have this on the PC's. It is not just for people who have a need for the assistive tech rooms, it is for others who may have eye strain from using PC's often. Also, if students are yet to have access to the assistive tech room because of the PLSP is in the middle of being created, there will be no help available for the students who are waiting for this vital bit of information to help that little bit more with their studies. It's just a thought.
